The Opportunity


Come and discover the opportunity to join our Processing and Logistics team at our Chullora NSW manufacturing facility as a Site Operations Leader.

Our Chullora manufacturing operations is a fast-paced site that processes approximately 100,000 tonnes of slit steel per year.

Reporting to the Processing and Logistics Manager, you will lead a team of 7 staff and approx. 40 operators.

In this key leadership role, that impacts the safety of our people as well as the quality and reliability of our equipment and products, you will lead, motivate and develop our high performing team to meet and exceed our customer needs.

The rotating 2 week shift pattern from Monday to Friday with a fortnightly RDO is as follows:

  • Week
  • shift times from (M-F = 6am
  • 2pm)
  • Week
- shift times from (M-Th = 2pm - 12am)

What Will You Do?
While leading your team and having a direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products, this role will see you:

  • coach and develop team members to build capability and nurture a culture that will deliver world class products of the highest quality
- plan, co-ordinate and monitor the movement of product for the site, including inventory management, production performance, dispatch and load planning.
- develop and implement Continuous Improvement projects focused on value creation and cost reductions/mitigation
- develop relationships with internal and external customers through customer service teams to enhance customer experience.
- manage Supplier relationships to manage risk, ensure continuity of service and increase value through cost management and innovation
