Electrical Colo Regional Engineer, Colocation Regional Engineering (CRE)

We are looking for an Electrical Colo Regional Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. If you are passionate about innovative projects and have the qualifications required, this opportunity might be for you. As the Electrical Colo Regional Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting Data Centers from design to maintenance, serving as the main engineering contact for technical advice within your region and collaborating with various teams.

As the Electrical Colo Regional Engineer, you will lead projects to enhance the data centers we operate to meet the evolving needs of our customers as we expand to new scales.   • Have experience in managing engineering projects
  • Build relationships with different stakeholders
  • Be willing to engage hands-on in the field

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with colo vendors to review and enhance the design of new Data Centers in your area
  • Reside as the engineer during new colo construction projects and provide support throughout
  • Resolve operational issues, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and develop Corrective Action (CA) plans for equipment failures
  • Offer technical support for existing data center upgrades and solutions to boost capacity, availability, and efficiency
  • Ensure operating partners follow standardized procedures for consistent and reliable service delivery
  • Conduct engineering site audits, identify risks, and propose solutions

A Day in the Life:

Each day, you will collaborate with diverse teams to ensure data center efficiency and safety. Your focus will be on high-impact actions that support data center operations locally and globally.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities
  • Fluency in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Coursework in commercial/industrial power systems and/or mechanical systems
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Experience with design, construction, or maintenance of mission critical facilities
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations
  • Effective communication and writing skills
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment in data centers
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • Advanced degree in engineering or related field
  • Ability to develop and execute plans for complex projects
  • Ownership of design/build projects and significant upgrades
