About the Role

Working in our operation in Kwinana and reporting to the Maintenance Reliability Superintendent, the role has a significant influence across internal and external functions within the operation.

The role will support reliability practices in the Electrical and instrumentation area and as well support HA compliance on the site.

Providing subject matter expertise in the Engineering field and technical competency on HA management plan.
The position is designed to support in the following areas:


Provide Subject Matter Expertise to ensure reliability, availability, maintainability, supportability, effectiveness and sustainability of Hazardous Areas Asset Management for compliance.

Support BHP Operational System Practices.
Budget management.
Perform Root Cause Analysis.
Stakeholder management to improve equipment reliability.
Management of improvement projects.
Continuous improvement mindset.
Perform execution of critical control management activities.

About You
You will have Tertiary engineering degree (Electrical / Control Systems).

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, and the ability work with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the business.


You will have the following skills and attributes:


Demonstrated site experience in maintenance and operations of major hazard facilities that involve Hazardous Areas Zones and Hazardous Areas rated equipment.

Demonstrated experience in management and compliance of Hydrogen HA and Natural Gas HA atmospheres.
Demonstrated experience working with NFPA 2 and 55 or equivalent standard.
Demonstrated experience in Asset Management.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and Demonstrated, advanced written and oral English language proficiency.
Perform and manage software integration and system modifications within the control systems.
