Specialist Anaesthetic Services (SAS) have been in operation since 1978, providing anaesthetic services in both Metropolitan and Country Hospitals.

About the Role
As the Medical Administrator you will report directly to the General Manager and become part of a close-knit and interdependent team who enjoy a rotating roster with staggered starts either 8:30am 4:30pm or 9:00am

  • 5:00pm Monday Friday. The role's purpose is to provide accurate and timely customer service and administration support to internal and external stakeholders of the business.

Duties

  • Friendly and professional service to patients, surgeons and anaesthetists
  • Accounts receivable and billing, and liaising with patients to ensure payments are made in a timely manner
  • Provision of quotes and answering patient enquiries
  • Coordinating activities through liaising with surgeons rooms, hospitals, Medicare and health funds.
  • Ad hoc administration and project support

Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in an administration or reception role essential
  • Experience in a medical environment highly desirable
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Team player and ability to work in a collaborative environment
