About the role
This entry level role is a unique opportunity to move into the wonderful world of food.

If you have a keen interest in cooking and strong knowledge of current food trends across all media platforms, we would love you to join our team.

Working closely with experienced food editors you will be co-ordinating content ready for design.

A valuable role within a small team, you will contribute to the success of Are Media's reputation of being experts in food print and digital publishing.


  • This role will report into the Food Director
  • Key stakeholders include _Cooking with Australian Women's Weekly, Australian Women's Weekly Food Digital, Woman's Day, Take 5, WHO and TV Week_
  • This role will contribute to the success and expertise in food print and digital content

Duties

  • Extracting copy
  • Editing recipes into brand style
  • Collating images
  • Managing the recipe content spreadsheet
  • Assisting the Digital Food Editor with recipe collections

Skills and experience

  • Experience in media (or a media graduate) with a keen interest in food and cooking
  • Strong knowledge across current food trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Adobe suites
  • Proven administrative skills with high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • Effective communicator with ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
