About the role:


Here at CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy we currently have multiple opportunities for experienced Network Security Analysts to join a newly created team as part of our Security Operations in a permanent capacity based at our CBD office.


These roles will primarily be responsible for managing the firewall fleet from a business-as-usual perspective (BAU) for our businesses in addition to managing proxies and governing the managed services of our network infrastructure.


The role will also provide incident management support/troubleshooting, maintain and prepare IT Security Processes/Policies, provide governance/compliance support and work as part of a 24/7 on call rotating roster.


What you'll deliver:

  • BAU Firewall rule request; review, approval, implementation and termination (Including requirements for NAT, VPN)
  • Updating and optimisation of next generation firewall feature and signature such as IPS/IDS/antivirus/antibot/DNS sink holing
  • Platform management and maintenance, monitoring and capacity management
  • Configuring and managing proxy servers, ensuring that they are functioning optimally and security
  • Project Delivery: Implementation of firewall rules changes as per project requirements
  • Governance of Managed Services for Network Management which includes Routers, Switches, Load balancers, Cisco ISE
  • Firewall rule revalidation and housekeeping
  • Review and approval of patch/signatures updates and infrastructure upgrades.

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

  • Tertiary qualification in IT with Cybersecurity is highly desirable
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is desirable
  • Knowledge of Firewall Rulebase best practices and Cyber Security concepts and fundamentals
  • Advanced knowledge in Networking concepts and protocols
  • Extensive experience managing Firewall policies and infrastructure
  • Experience working with Service Now, CheckPoint and Algosec
  • Demonstrated experience with NAT,VPNs,IPS/IDS,Networking, TCP/IP
  • Demonstrated knowledge of managing proxies (Netskope and Cisco WSA highly desirable).
