The Opportunity Cochlear has an opportunity for a full time Senior Software Tools & Infrastructure Engineer based in our Macquarie, Sydney office.

In this role, the successful incumbent will be responsible for continuously improving the standards, practices, and culture of Dev Ops for the delivery of Agile embedded software projects.


Responsibilities include:
Identify and action automation opportunities across existing infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and platforms to continuously improve system performance.

Collaborate with Cochlear embedded software stakeholders (IT, global Embedded Software teams, Acoustics) and GN Hearing to ensure alignment on solutions.

Manage small to medium Dev Ops work packages to deliver effective and reliable tools and infrastructure to support and enable the rapid, efficient delivery of high-quality embedded software projects.

Be proactive in building existing relationships as well as developing new contacts and relationships across teams in Cochlear and GN Hearing to ensure that shared solutions and systems meet the needs of all stakeholders.

Establish a Dev Ops roadmap to deliver new improvements and communicate it regularly to the stakeholders.
Continually monitor system health to report and rectify problems quickly so that infrastructure downtime is minimised.
