Al Sahel Metal Recyclers is looking to expand its team and requires a trade representative to help reach its goals in buying metals.
Job Summary:
As a trading representative, you will be responsible for procuring metal from local industries in Victoria. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the efficient flow of metal materials into our recycling facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of metal recycling, excellent negotiating skills and a passion for sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and engage with potential metal suppliers in the assigned regions
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients
Negotiate pricing, contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favourable terms.
Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate logistics and ensure smooth material flow.
Stay informed about market trends, industry regulations and competitor activities.
Provide regular reports on procurement activities and market insights.
Qualifications and skills:
Excellent negotiating skills
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
Strong understanding of metal or waste industry, Previous experience in scrap metal trading or the waste industry highly desirable
