The Role

We are looking for an experienced Parts Advisor to contribute to improving overall HME fleet performance within Newmont Boddington Gold by providing advice and expertise in the areas of Asset Reliability for inventory and cataloguing, reporting and analysis.

The Parts Advisor will support the Mine Maintenance and the Planning & Scheduling functions by:

• Providing expert advice and direction in the refurbishment of HME assets and components
• Ensuring compliance to the use of major component reusability and salvage repair guidelines aligned to industry best practice
• Optimising Repairable Spares inventory at levels that suitably supports site business requirements
• Delivering cost, quality and leadtime savings
• Ensuring assets and components are refurbished to meet expected replacement intervals
• In partnership with Supply Chain, monitoring and reporting Inventory and Cataloguing to ensure catalogue information is accurate, complete and easily accessed by all operational persons
• In partnership with Supply Chain, maximising warehouse inventory turnover and material availability through constant analysis, forecasting trends and prompt response times to changes in demand by liaising with the Engineering Team.

About You:

We are looking for a great communicator who can develop good working relationships across all levels of the business. You will be able to problem solve and handle multiple tasks at once.

• Diploma in Parts/Materials Management, trade qualification or other formal recognised qualifications in an equivalent discipline (preferred but not essential)
• Demonstrable experience in a supply/parts role preferably in heavy industrial equipment or mining industry
• Optimizer software would be well regarded
• Knowledge of logistic principles with well developed SAP analytical and reporting skills
• Sound knowledge of supply management procedures including inventory management and contract supply arrangement.
• Strong knowledge of spare parts Investment vs Risk Management process
