The Role
Ventia are currently looking to engage an experienced
Grounds Person on a permanent basis. This position will see you working at RAAF Defence Base Bullsbrook, within a well-established maintenance team.

This role will see you maintain a wide variety of built and natural Parks assets including streetscapes, training grounds, verges, playgrounds, sporting and recreational grounds.


_The Grounds Maintenance Team are responsible for, but not limited to:_

  • Operation of Tractor
  • Mowing of Turf areas, verges and firebreaks
  • Weed Control/Herbicide use
  • Reticulation operation and minor repairs
  • Garden Maintenance (mulching, pruning, hedging, weeding etc.)
  • Use of plant & equipment such as; ride on and push mowers, brush cutters, blowers, edger's, hedgers, spraying equipment etc.
  • General labouring
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
  • Current C class driver's license
  • Ideally have industry experience in a similar parks & gardens or landscaping role
  • Qualifications in Horticulture or Conservation & Land Management desirable but not essential
  • Chemical and Chainsaw certificates desirable but not essential
  • Able to Pass a Preemployment medical including a Drug and Alcohol screen
  • Will need a great attitude, a good work ethic and complete tasks without supervision.
