Infrastructure People are partnering with a leading national building and civil construction company. With $1 billion work-in-hand across NSW, WA, and QLD, this company is experiencing remarkable growth. They are actively seeking a Leading Hand/Junior Supervisor with extensive structures experience, to join their team on a project based in Western Sydney.

Your responsibilities might include:

  • Coordinating the work and performance of multiple teams and subcontractors to achieve outcomes
  • Providing and taking leadership responsibility in health, safety and environment management
  • Completing progress reporting, and activities, reporting for shift handovers and consistent regular reporting to the Superintendent or Project Manager
  • Reading and understanding plans, reviewing design documentation, reading drawings, providing constructive review and implementing of final designs
  • Identifying and mitigating risks prior to works commencing
  • Communicating with and engaging relevant stakeholders to control risk and contributing to a risk management culture
  • Performing all duties in accordance with relevant policies, processes, systems and procedures

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years in a Supervisory position
  • we are happy to consider a Leading Hand/Foreman looking to take the next step in their career.
  • Previous experience working on TfNSW projects essential.
  • Previous experience working on bridge projects essential.
  • Technical competency and understanding of roads, footpaths and earthworks.
  • Skill in review of design documents, ability to understand drawings, provide constructability review and implement final design plans
  • People and performance management of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Trade qualifications or similar
