The Opportunity

We are excited to present an opportunity for highly motivated individuals to join our team as Light Equipment Sales Representatives in the vibrant city of Newcastle. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting sales of the Hitachi range of Light Construction Equipment.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing relationships within the existing customer network in the territory
  • Actively seeking out new sales opportunities through strategies such as daily cold calling and prospecting
  • Engaging in general marketing, trade shows, and networking activities
  • Providing accurate reporting on current and potential activity, growth opportunities, market analysis, and competitor insights
  • Meeting market share expectations and other key performance indicators set by Management

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success and experience in sales roles
  • Preference for previous experience in a similar role or industry
  • A commitment to delivering Hitachi's Promise of Total Customer Satisfaction by cultivating positive customer relationships
  • A competitive drive to achieve and surpass sales targets
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, including proficiency in using CRM systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities with a confident and professional demeanor
  • Self-motivation and the capacity to work independently
  • A valid driver's license
