About the role:

Ongoing Part Time role EFT hours per week)


Working within a team responsible for designing and building all of Melbourne Polytechnics educational materials and assessments for Vocational Education.

The successful applicant will be leading design and development projects and thrive working collaboratively.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative minded person who enjoys working with a variety of stakeholders to develop and redesign curriculum within the VET sector.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage high level course design and development projects, including the inputs, work packages and any additional resources.
  • Work collaboratively with Program Departments, the Professional Teaching Practice and Learning Environment units to support the implementation of innovative course design, delivery and assessment practices, including the use of learning technologies, online and simulated learning and contemporary teaching methodologies to enhance the student experience.
  • Provide leadership to teaching areas in the development and implementation of effective validation and moderation
  • Contribute to the leadership and implementation of the Melbourne Polytechnic Education Plan across the organization.

Skills and experience required:

  • A degree or diploma in education or curriculum design in VET.
  • A TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE including Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502) and Address Adult language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills (TAELLN411) or (TAELLN401A) or Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (TAE50111/TAE50116) or Diploma level or higher Adult education qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in an educational leadership capacity within the Vocational Education sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and experience in all regulatory and compliance requirements for curriculum and assessment development in the VET sector
  • A minimum of 3 years' recent experience in the design and development of curriculum, learning and assessment resources in VET.
