This opportunity is within the SEQ Track Renewals Resleepering team in our SEQ Track and Civil Infrastructure business, located at our Brisbane Airport depot.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Plant Operator interested in expanding their industry expertise into rail civil infrastructure. We provide training and development, including the chance to complete a Certificate II in Track Rail Infrastructure.
Requirements to apply:
Civil Plant licences/tickets – preferably excavator and loader Manual C class Drivers Licence Heavy Vehicle Licence is advantageousWorking Hours and Compensation:
The team operates throughout the Queensland Rail Network at sites in SEQ and across the State, with an approximate 80% requirement for away-from-home work.
When working regionally, you will follow a 9-day on, 5-day off roster, typically from Monday to the following Tuesday, including weekends - Working away allowance and penalty rates are applicable.
Expect to work regular weekends in SEQ, typically every second weekend - with Penalty rates applied.
Hours in both SEQ and Regional locations are typically 0600hrs to 1600hrs, with occasional night shifts based on business needs.
Role Responsibilities:
Operate plant/equipment efficiently and safely, following all manuals and track standards. Fulfill Trackworker duties as necessary. Ensure full compliance with Queensland Rail's policies and safe working procedures when operating Plant/ equipment.For further details about the role, please refer to the
