Job Description
About this opportunity
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer will oversee site process engineering, safety, projects, development, and maintenance at the Horsley Park site.
In this role, you will manage engineering projects, ensure quality work, and handle machinery maintenance and breakdowns.
The focus is on supporting Safety, Quality, Production, and Continuous Improvement by implementing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and WH&S.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Design and improve chemical processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for processes.
- Collaborate with teams for plant layouts and control systems.
- Monitor process performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop process control systems for production optimization.
- Oversee new process units integration and startup.
- Troubleshoot process issues and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Create detailed process documentation.
- Develop manufacturing processes and increase productivity.
Your skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles.
- Experience with process simulation software.
- Familiarity with industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Prior experience in process engineering at chemical plants.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
- Understanding of continuous improvement concepts.
- Experience implementing Lean solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Maintenance, Process, Production Engineering.
