As they say, variety is the spice of life and this role will offer you plenty of variety The majority of your day will be spent performing basic accounts functions however you will also assist with general Administration and Reception type duties.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Reception
  • answer incoming calls (very low volume, maybe 3 phone calls in a day)


AP
  • Data entry of incoming invoices, match to statements, pay and send remittances
  • AR create invoices, get stat decs signed, put in a report using Excel
  • Payroll weekly pay run of around 3035 field staff contract supervisors and get hours, calculate the pays, DE into MYOB and bank transfers, send payment slips. Also pay super, etc
  • Maintain Excel spread sheets/registers
  • Travel and accommodation arrangements plus book conferences/courses for staff
  • Uniform management
  • Filing, scanning, etc
  • Ensure smooth run of the office order stationary and kitchen supplies
  • Organise or accept couriers
  • Kitchen tidy and water indoor plants
  • Manage the cleaner and gardener
  • Ad hoc duties to assist the Office Manager

  • Proven experience in administration with either some form of accounts or payroll experience ideal or a genuine desire and ability to learn (so you'd be good with numbers and attention to detail)
  • Experience in construction industry highly regarded but not essential
  • Although Reception is a mínimal part of the role, must be happy to be based on Reception and work autonomously
  • Intermediate skills in Word & Excel
- experience in MYOB advantageous

  • Strong work ethic and self motivated
