We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager at Perth Office CBD on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

About this role

  • To ensure that all contracts are managed in line with Western Power's Contract Management Framework inclusive of the Procurement Policy and the Contract Management Standard ensuring that the following key activities are undertaken.
  • Administration of all contractual obligations and deliverables for assigned project contracts post execution including, assessing, reviewing, and advising on contractor claims such as, EOTs, variations, progress claims and payment requests.
  • Preparing contractual notices.
  • Provide input into additional scope of work including assessing associated costs and risk.
  • Review the Contract Management engagement deliverables including the SHE risk register, scope of work, specifications, drawings and pricing schedules
  • Monitoring contractor compliance with contract terms and conditions for allocated works (including all Safety, Environmental & Quality obligations)
  • Review, assess and coordinate monthly progress claims, relevant invoices and prepare and execute progress payment certificates.
  • Arrange and facilitate regular project progress meetings with contractors, record and distribute minutes of meetings and followup on key actions.
  • Manage incident reporting procedure and liaising with contractors to complete investigations.
  • Closing out of contracts including securities, completion certificates and other contractual formal correspondences as required.

About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • Degree or equivalent in Business, Law or Commerce
  • Contract Management Qualification
  • Broad and extensive knowledge and expertise and proven understanding of contract management
  • At least 10 + years significant contract management experience including high value / highly complex contracts
  • Have strong working knowledge of and the ability to interpret legislation with regards to contract law
  • Ability to provide technical leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, complimented by influencing/negotiation skills
  • Strong experience in negotiation, conflict resolution and managing public and stakeholder relations.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels within a corporate environment
