About the role


As Learning and Development Advisor you will be part of the Organisational Development team and will be responsible for developing the capabilities of employees across the organisation through the development, coordination, resourcing and delivery of internal training courses and recommendation of external courses to meet staff development objectives.


Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that Council learning and development programs are timely, relevant, and provide valuable skills, competencies, and information to employees, and are aligned with the goals and strategies outlined in Council's strategic plans, the People and Culture Strategy and the Learning and Development Strategy and linked to similar programs within Branches and Departments across the organisation
  • Facilitate and evaluate the effectiveness of corporate and bespoke learning solutions across the full spectrum of the Learning and Development suite of programs including, corporate induction, process, systems, personal effectiveness, team development and leadership.
  • Monitor, review, update and enhance the existing suite of programs to improve the overall experience of the learner, ensuring embedding of learning and alignment to our Values and desired culture.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership
  • Graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or substantial experience to carry out the range of duties required.
  • Current Queensland "C" Class driver's licence

This is a fixed term full time opportunity at Level 6 with a salary package commencing at $97,134 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
