About the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Senior Scrum Master to join our Enterprise Delivery team and work for one of Australia's leading Insurers. As Senior Scrum Master, you will help to deliver outcomes in a fast, sustainable, and effective manner, by embedding ways of working aligned to Suncorp's delivery model - 'Momentum'.

This role will work in the Motor Claims team within the recently formed Customer Value Program dedicated to Customer & Process Excellence for Motor Claims.

What you'll do:

  • Work with the Program Lead and Business Owner to sequence work and manage dependencies across Squads; manage flow, sequencing, slicing and velocity of work within the squads.
  • Work with Value Stream Delivery Managers to manage and prioritise work through the backlog, driving removal of impediments and ensuring work is tracked and progressing and that there is an appropriate balance across Squad members.
  • Lead and embed a continuous improvement ad Lean-Agile leadership culture.
  • Monitor Squad performance and identify opportunities for improvement, ensure the squad is compliant with appropriate governance and practices.
  • Coach Squad to optimise delivery via Momentum processes and practices and develop relationships that assist the Squad in achieving its outcomes.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Proactively interact with other stakeholders to effectively manage demands on resources, prioritise funding, receipt of distribution and deliverables, and alignment of goals and objectives.

What you'll bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years' Scrum Master experience within large corporate organisations
  • Previous experience in the Insurance industry would be beneficial, ideally in the Motor Claims business
  • Proven ability to manage multiple squads simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple squads across multiple locations & time zones.
  • Demonstrated evidence of working with a variety of stakeholders and the ability to develop trust and credibility combined with a strong collaborative mindset.
  • Demonstrated experience using Agile in a large complex environment, with a deep understanding of the core principles of agile methodology.
  • Strong delivery skills and ability to clearly define project objectives and benefits.
