Reporting to the HSEQ Superintendent, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Providing advice to Project teams based on legislative requirements and company philosophy (mentoring & coaching role to key players)
- Supporting and assisting supervisors and employees on daily health, safety, environmental and quality issues
- Playing a key role in the implementation of Project Safety and Environmental plans
- Maintaining records and the HSEQ database
- Conducting regular workplace inspections and audits
- Participating in incident investigations
- Driving the corrective actions register
- Building positive attitudes and behaviours towards safety
- Conducting inductions where required
- Assisting the team to develop JHA's
- Coordinate the site emergency procedures when required
- Stay up to date with legislative changes in the field of safety
To be successful in this role you will require:
ESSENTIAL
- Certificate IV OHS level education or higher
- A good working knowledge of Health and Safety Laws and Regulations
- Extensive exposure to mining or civil OHS environments
- Standard 11 Industry Generic Induction
- Intermediate computer skills
DESIRABLE
- S1,2,3 and G2 qualifications
- Senior First Aid
- Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
- ICAM
- Auditing qualification and/or experience
