We are seeking an experienced and proactive HSEQ Advisor to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. You will be based on-site and work on an 8/6 roster, providing you with a balanced work-life schedule. While you may be required to travel between our southern Bowen Basin sites, the role will predominantly focus on our Baralaba project located in the Baralaba/Banana region.

**Duties**:

- Providing advice and mentoring to Project teams based on Legislative requirements and company philosophy on daily Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality issues.
- Assisting the HSEQ Superintendent / HSEQ Manager in the continual improvement of the HSEQ Management System and delivery of HSEQ Strategic Plans.
- Compiling and maintaining HSEQ project documentation and ensuring it is up to date.
- Conducting regular workplace inspections and field interactions to influence workplace cultural behaviour.
- Conducting regular workplace inspections, field interactions and audits.
- Facilitating incident investigations and identifying corrective actions to causal factors in line with ADB timeframes.
- Provision and delivery of HSEQ information for the inclusion in site meetings.
- Participating in internal and external audits.

**You will need**:

- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role within a civil construction, mining or resources environment. *Mining experience highly desirable.
- Demonstrated skills in safety leadership.
- Demonstrated knowledge of work health and safety requirements and legislation relevant to a resources sector environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
- The ability to positively influence behaviour to develop workplace culture.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

**Relevant Qualifications**:

- Certificate IV of Work Health and Safety or Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- Formal ICAM investigation trainingHLTAID011: Provide First Aid
- HLPPAT005: Collect Specimens of Drugs of Abuse Testing
- Australian Driver’s License
- Section 1, 2, 3, G1
- Standard 11 Generic Induction
- Formal auditing qualifications (desirable)
