Administrative Coordinator with Auslan Experience. We have a vacancy within our Sydney office.
We are a group of creative professionals dedicated to providing supports to an expanding client base all over Australia. Reporting to the CEO, you will be supported by a team of established Support Coordinators.
About Signpedia
Signpedia is a Deaf owned organisation that provides services to Deaf, hard of hearing, nonverbal clients, Auslan users and their families, who have funding through the NDIS.
Key responsibilities
- Administrative tasks:
- Greet and assist clients, staff, and visitors.
- Answer office phone and mobile, and direct messages to the appropriate staff when needed.
- Manage your delegated mailboxes consistently.
- Check and record stationary stock regularly and reorder supplies as needed.
- Conduct regular office/room/land
- Maintenance checks of office equipment to ensure they are operational. This can include calling for repairs, maintain equipment inventories, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Run errands, as required.
- Coordinating tasks:
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and group activities at the office.
- Help organise Signpedia social events, group activities, and training sessions as required.
- Help organise travel arrangements, such as booking flights, accommodation, reservations, hire cars and equipment etc.
- Make purchases as required and manage recordkeeping of purchases.
- Ordering and recordkeeping of staff shirts and business cards with HR
- Ordering and recordkeeping of technology for staff (e.g., phones, computers, iPads, Monitors) with Accounts.
We seek the following qualities
- Fluency in Auslan.
- Excellent written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to different methods of communication style to suit people's needs.
- Demonstrated skill in researching information and developing effective and innovative support options.
- High level of administrative skills, time management and efficient work practices.
- Excellent computer literacy skills.
- Able to be openminded, flexible and explore creative ways to meet client's individual support needs and difficulties.
- Demonstrated networking skills and ability to develop networks within the disability industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and alone with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to empathise with people with a disability and their families/carers.
- High standards of ethical and professional behaviour.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
