We are currently seeking a Laundry Driver to join the team at Bethanie Gwelup Aged Care Home.

Bethanie Gwelup is home to a 112 bed facility with secure dementia services, and has been designed, built and staffed to maximise our residents enjoyment and wellbeing.


While you will be based primarily at Bethanie Gwelup, as a Laundry Driver you will collect and deliver laundry to and from various other sites across Perth.


This role is offered on a casual basis to cover periods of leave and unplanned absences, with shifts available 6am - 9am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

There may be additional hours available to assist in the laundry as required.

The Role

  • Collect soiled linen and clothing from sites and transport to be laundering
  • Sort residents' personal clothing
  • Load and unload washing machines and dryers
  • Deliver and restock linen and clean clothing
  • Ensure laundry vehicle is maintained in a clean and sanitised condition


The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to work across other hospitality roles, such as Kitchen Hand and Domestic Assistant / Cleaner.


About You

  • Valid
    manual drivers licence
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desireable (but not compulsory as we will train the successful applicant)
  • Understanding of laundry processes, with ability to read care labels
  • Knowledge of appropriate laundry chemical usage
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as a team
  • Ability to work independently and professionally
  • Willingness to obtain any relevant vaccinations required
