ABOUT THE POSITION




ROLE:
MIDDLE LEARNING COMMUNITY ARTS TEACHER
Due to significant growth and the establishment of a second campus and the introduction of a Virtual
Learning Community, the College is seeking to employ additional Teachers.
We are seeking to appoint an Arts Teacher to teach in our Middle Learning Community (Years 7-9)
specialising in Dance and Drama.
This is a full-time 12-month contract commencing immediately.

ROLE DESCRIPTION - TEACHER P-12

ROLE
All Teachers P-12 are expected to support the College's Vision, Mission and Values, Christian ethos and
cornerstones - God Centred Education; Evangelistic Outreach; Academic Excellence and Personal Integrity
through their personal example, interaction with colleagues, students, families and the wider community,
and in their leadership and approach to learning in the classroom.
Teachers share a significant responsibility in creating positive and caring environments to deliver young
people to society who are educated, equipped, empowered and energised to lead successful and productive
lives. They provide experiences for student learning, practice and engagement, and ensure our Christian
worldview is embedded in learning. They also ensure the duty of care for students is met as they outwork
learning outcomes and classroom activities and create effective learning environments.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • 4 Year Bachelor of Education or equivalent
  • Appropriate Qualification (or experience) to provide Learning Support
  • Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers including compliance with CPD hours
  • Possessing knowledge of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
  • Right to work in Australia
