Work, Health & Safety Advisor


We are seeking a skilled Work, Health & Safety Advisor to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis, commencing March 18th 2024 until June 30th, 2024.

This full-time position will be based in Dandenong with occasional travel to other sites. The role involves 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide highlevel support to the Work, Health & Safety Team
  • Deliver administrative and operational support to the Business Area
  • Coordinate events and prepare various documentation for business functions
  • Support the Associate Director in meeting coordination and documentation preparation
  • Maintain OH&S data integrity and ensure compliance with legislative requirements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve organizational objectives
  • Motivate, coach, and manage team members towards goal achievement
  • Ensure a safe and respectful work environment, adhering to health and safety policies

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety (Certificate IV or above)
  • Experience providing OH&S administrative support in a complex environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively
  • High level of personal motivation and ability to work well under pressure
  • Current valid Employee Working With Children Check and National Police Check

Desirable:

  • Digital literacy skills and competency in operating/enterprise systems
  • Experience in providing support to senior leadership management functions
  • Understanding of the vocational education sector
