**Role Summary**
The role we're offering presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who has ideally, worked in a manufacturing background and has had previous exposure to high-speed packaging equipment.
Your primary objective will be to ensure the seamless execution of HSE initiatives, aligning them with industry-leading standards while adhering to strict timeframes. Drawing upon your technical expertise, you will provide invaluable coaching and specialist advice to support the achievement of HSE objectives, emphasizing the importance of compliance and continuous improvement.
With a focus on fostering a proactive safety culture, you will collaborate closely with site leaders and their teams, championing best practices and driving impactful change. This role demands not only a deep understanding of HSE principles but also strong project management skills, as you navigate complex challenges inherent in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
**Key Responsibilities**

**HSE Leadership**
- Ensure adherence to both legal and company Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards, actively identifying areas for improvement and supporting enhancement initiatives.
- Engage in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee meetings, contributing insights and expertise to promote a culture of safety.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, offering tailored HSE advice and assistance to address their specific needs.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to internal teams on various HSE topics, actively participating in the resolution of critical HSE issues encountered across sites.

**Hazard & Risk Management**
- Lead the implementation of critical elements of the HSE strategy in alignment with specified timelines.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels to ensure a unified approach to managing Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) practices.
- Monitor the execution of HSE plans, ensuring adherence to designated schedules.
- Share industry best practices openly with HSE professionals and operational stakeholders, fostering consistency in approach.
- Provide project management support for key initiatives, including the development of standardized templates, guidance notes, and training materials.
- Promptly identify and escalate significant challenges and obstacles as they arise.

**Incident Management**
- Support the investigations of HSE incidents, in a timely manner, while coaching stakeholders to promote a high standard of investigation quality.
- Work within organizational timeframes and follow up on lagging investigations.

**Strategy**
- Lead the implementation of critical elements of the HSE strategy in alignment with specified timelines.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels to ensure a unified approach to managing Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) practices.
- Monitor the execution of HSE plans, ensuring adherence to designated schedules.
- Share industry best practices openly with HSE professionals and operational stakeholders, fostering consistency in approach.
- Provide project management support for key initiatives, including the development of standardized templates, guidance notes, and training materials.
- Promptly identify and escalate significant challenges and obstacles as they arise.

**Requirements**:

- Possession of a Diploma/Degree in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) or equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in digital systems design and utilization.
- Demonstrated experience in project management.
- Comprehensive understanding of legislative requirements and Australian Standards pertaining to HSE in relevant state(s) of operation.
- Strong grasp of business processes and operational environments.
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
- Proficient in change management practices.
- Track record of successfully implementing HSE strategies.
