We have an opportunity for an Intern BiomedicalEngineer to join our Managed Equipment Services (MES) team based at FionaStanley Hospital (FSH) in Perth, reporting to the Biomedical Team Lead. Thislimited contract role provides an on-the-job training opportunity for auniversity student looking for an internship placement.This role will be a minimum of 3 days perweek.

This position requires a highly motivated and team-orientedcandidate to deliver a high-quality Managed Equipment Service which includesplanned and reactive maintenance of medical equipment. You are required toprioritise patient outcomes, generate best value for WA Health service at FSHand demonstrate the core values of Siemens Healthineers.

Your role:

Complyingwith all Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies, site specificpolicies, service escalation procedures and customer requests; Satisfyingthe customer's needs for medical equipment:preventative maintenance,updates/upgrades,corrective/reactive service, andinstallations in accordancewith Managed Equipment Service contractual obligations; Liaising withClinical staff, the Facilities Manager and Vendors to ensure that Siemens MESservice meets or exceeds expectations; Timelycompletion of service reporting in-line with contractually defined limits andthe ability to communicate these outcomes effectively; Maintainingpersonal knowledge of safety instructions and operational procedures andparticipation in training courses including 'self learning', computer-based andon-the-job training, and external training courses as required throughout thecourse of normal employment; and Ensuring thatall tools and test equipment issued to you as a job holder are properlymaintained and calibrated, and all company assets are kept safe and secure atall times. Inspect and check issued safety equipment on a monthly basis

Your expertise:

Studyingtowards a Biomedical, Healthcare, Electrical, Mechanical or ComputerEngineering degree/diploma or equivalent; Have someclinical and operational experience in a tertiary Public or Private hospitalenvironment and/or experience in customer service, maintenance or installationactivities; Preferablyhave experience in medical systems and their integration; Need todemonstrate communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team; Possess adriver's license; and Be availablefor rostered "on-call" participation that may require out of hours work
