We currently have opportunity available in our well establish but busy Safety team where you will leverage your extensive safety and emergency management expertise.

About the Position

As part of the Safety team, and the border People and Safety Team, the Emergency Management Planning Officer will partner across the organisation to develop and increase emergency management arrangements within the City of Monash work premises. You will work closely with, and support, our Emergency Planning Committee and localises Emergency Control Organisation to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with relevant legislation.

Skills and Experience

Extensive experience in applying relevant legislation and guidance in a large and complex organisation Demonstrated successfully project management skills with experience planning, delivering, and evaluating projects Experience in policy writing and implementation, meeting the audience needs and understanding Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a proven record of effectively managing stakeholder relationships with a wide range of stakeholders Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team and autonomously, to prioritise tasks, solve problems independently and respond calmly to instances of high pressure Strong risk analysis skills with particular emphasis on safe outcomes and problem solving

Requirements

Satisfactory National Police Check Other pre-employment checks may be required depending on the role requirements
