We are seeking multiple Data Officers for the Department of Defence, specifically for a Special Operations environment. These officers will assist in general and specific investigations into historical military operations in Afghanistan.

Main Responsibilities

  • Retrieve information and data based on specified keywords from five extensive, mainly unstructured Defence ICT systems and various applications.
  • Review information and data based on Defence security classifications and specified data requirements.
  • Organize information and data according to specific formats and archiving procedures for evaluation and analysis by team leaders and decision makers.

Evaluation Requirements

  • Need to show mental toughness and emotional intelligence, especially when dealing with graphic content repeatedly.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Defence ICT systems and applications, including Objective (DRMS), SharePoint, and FotoWeb.
  • Must exhibit technical expertise in data mining by utilizing various search tools and datasets.

Important Note: Applicants must display a high level of mental resilience and well-being with established coping mechanisms and support systems. The role may regularly expose individuals to highly graphic and disturbing content. Service providers must be willing to engage in frequent discussions with team leaders to ensure the ongoing well-being of staff.

Important Note: You should be an Australian Citizen with an active TSPV clearance, or a TSPV clearance that has been active in the last year. Failure to meet these requirements will result in disqualification.
