Executive Manager – Finance & Business Support

Delaware North has an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Finance leader to join our team based at the Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin.

Mindil Beach Casino Resort is the ultimate entertainment destination in the Northern Territory. The guest experience is at the heart of everything we do. Boasting over 600 electronic gaming machines, more than 30 exciting table games, four restaurants, four bars, a beautiful beachfront resort with 152 luxury rooms and a myriad of unique function spaces.

Mindil Beach Casino Resort is owned and operated by Delaware North, a market leader in the catering and hospitality industry with a portfolio spanning across sporting stadiums, airports, leisure, and entertainment venues globally.

About the role:

Reporting to the Director Commercial Finance and Reporting AU/NZ and based on site at the Mindil Beach Casino Resort, this role is responsible for managing, monitoring and leading the financial, accounting and commercial activities, including producing and consolidating financial reports and providing analysis of the overall business performance to support delivering on financial plan, profit margins and business growth.

We are looking for a commercially driven individual who can partner with the business operations teams, while being a trusted advisor to the General Manager and is part of the executive leadership at the property. In addition, you will be required to coach, develop and lead the onsite finance and accounting team while managing the Mindil Beach Casino Resort's financial operations to ensure compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements.

To be successful you will adopt a business partnering approach while your knowledge of the business and technical competence will ensure you can strategically identify improvement opportunities to drive business performance.

A bit about your background, skills, and experience:

  • You are a results driven experienced finance leader with exceptional people and business partnering skills
  • Experienced in team leadership, coaching, and developing staff
  • Passion for the industry with an understanding of our unique operational demands
  • A commercial background in high volume environments
  • Experience within a casino environment
  • Degree qualified with a post graduate CA/CPA.
