Female Farsi-speaking Care Worker opportunity is available to assist a Farsi-speaking Female client in-home support between Monday to Sunday with the following duties:

  • Personal care support.
  • Domestic support including meal preparation.
  • Support with transfers, walking and exercise program, attending community activities
  • Support with attending physiotherapy and hydrotherapy appointments in Ryde
  • Support with attending all other medical appointments

Successful applicants are those who:

  • Are FEMALE and can speak Farsi
  • Have an understanding of safe manual handling procedures.
  • Have availability for work between Monday to Sunday anytime between morning till late night.
  • Also have availability to assist with inactive sleepover care where required.
  • Can demonstrate confidence in kitchen for meal preparation.
  • Can assist with house work.
  • Can assist with personal care.
  • Hold a valid Driver's License and have driving confidence. Having a car to drive to workplace is a MUST.
  • Reliability and flexibility

Qualification required:

  • Certificate III Disability or higher (preferrable)
  • Manual Handling experience
  • Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Police Check
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist clients in the following areas: domestic activities, and activities that assist consumers in meeting their Individual Support Plan needs.
  • Develop, maintain, and track each client's progress with progress notes, medication dispensing/administering, and other pertinent information by the end of each work shift.
  • Document and record activities, client response to these activities, regulatory requirements, and service requirements by the end of each work shift.
  • Communicate and establish appropriate relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Follow the Workplace Health and Safety, procedures and instructions of the organisation.
  • Any other duties as directed by Managers and Team Leaders
