About the role
Combining fun and finance, this team like to call themselves the "Funance Team". Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the full accounts payable function for this education provider. This is a diverse role that will keep you engaged and challenged.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Full function of the accounts payable duties for the College (there are several campuses)
  • Overseeing the purchase order systems
  • Processing of invoices
  • Process payment runs
  • Handle queries whilst maintaining positive relationships with suppliers
  • Complete monthly accounts payable statement reconciliation
  • Provide assistance with fleet and facilities administration
  • Manage the corporate credit card expense claim system
  • Other adhoc tasks (administration and finance related) as needed by the team

Skills and Experience

  • You demonstrate exceptional verbal communication skills in this role you are interacting with many stakeholders so you need to enjoy working with, and interacting with people
  • Your accuracy and attention to detail is meticulous this is naturally a very important part of the role
  • You like to understand the full process and the 'why' behind the system, you are quick to learn and you are willing to ask questions to seek clarification
  • You have previous experience in an accounts/finance role, this doesn't have to be a dedicated AP role but you certainly need to have a solid understanding of the process of accounts payable
