This is a fixed term contract role until December 2023.


OES has grown rapidly over the last eleven years and the
Associate Director, Corporate Communication plays a critical role in both evolving and protecting our organisational reputation; and enhancing the value of our partner university brands.


This role will suit someone with a strong background in strategic marketing communications, including PR, Government Relations and B2B marketing, who is excited about the power that education can play in transforming lives.

This role report directly to
Executive Director, Brand and Marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Devise and implement the strategy, messaging and tools needed to build the image of OES and respective partners/offerings via B2B marketing, events, PR and Government Relations.
  • Lead an integrated approach to all external marketing and communications across the organisation in partnership with broader teams.
  • Provide strategic advice and implementation plans on government/public relations to the CEO, Executive Team, and OES strategic partners, including opportunities to strengthen and pursue new relationships and policy development opportunities
  • Regularly meet with CEO and Executive Director Academic, to shape Public Relations and Government Relations policy and positioning recommendations.
  • Supervise and coordinate the implementation of government and public relations programs including drafting and responding to policy submission requests and issuing press releases.
  • Drive B2B marketing efforts to position OES as market leader for university's to partner with for full and standalone services. Collaborate with Growth, Academic, Strategy, and other teams to align B2B marketing efforts with company goals.
  • Lead the development and coordination of briefing documents, presentations, meetings and correspondence, to support government/public relations and B2B marketing activities.
  • Lead, coach and inspire a small team of marketing and communications professionals and oversee agency management & relations.
  • Effective management of crisis and issues communications/frameworks.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Public/Government Relations, Marketing or a relevant field.

12+ years Public relations, Government relations and marketing experience across a range of activities
:

  • Ability to communicate effectively to different audiences.
  • Highlevel strategic skills, stakeholder management and content briefing.
  • Ability to tell compelling stories through thought leadership, sales narratives and marketing collateral.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with crossfunctional teams.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

The ability to work and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders including CEO, senior executives both internally, externally and with business partners to achieve maximum benefit from relationships

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks and take accountability for those tasks, prioritizing them appropriately whilst maintaining a strong dialogue around progress on projects and issues.
  • Successful management individual goals and development plans.
  • People management.
