Tresillian is currently recruiting for a dynamic Quality & Safety Director to join the Tresillian team.
The Quality Manager must demonstrate the necessary degree of clinical knowledge, expertise, and experience to provide leadership, authority, and delegation to influence practice changes in relation to Patient Safety and Quality. The Manager is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the Quality Unit team. This includes leadership, management and support to the team to support the delivery of strategic objectives.
The Royal Society for the Welfare of Mothers and Babies, trading as Tresillian, was formed in 1918 to coordinate early child and maternal health care services in New South Wales (NSW). Tresillian is now the largest early child and family health and parenting service in Australia, operating from four sites in metropolitan Sydney and numerous regional and rural sites supporting service provision to families across NSW, Victoria and ACT.
Tresillian is a Certified Child Safe Leader and is dedicated to creating a workplace environment where children's rights are recognised and championed.
Tresillian provides local and state-wide services including: health and parenting assessments; parenting advice; education; and, support to families via a range of service delivery models including centre based day programs, home visiting, telephone, internet and residential services. Selection Criteria – Applicants must address the Selection Criteria
1) Degree in relevant health related field, with relevant Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration if required, and experience in quality improvement and consumer engagement, or relevant combination of study and work experience.
2) Demonstrated experience in the preparation, reporting, and monitoring of activities required to comply with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, other standards and accreditation/certification bodies e.g. ACHS Accreditation.
3) Demonstrated understanding and application of quality improvement methodology and project management within health settings.
4) Knowledge of current accreditation processes and standards within health care and processes required to monitor performance.
5) Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with all staff groups both within and external to the organisation .
6) Proven ability to be self-directed, proactive and work autonomously with a high degree of initiative, able to prioritise work demands and achieve deadlines.
7) Demonstrated commitment to patient centred care, and consumer participation in the planning, delivery and evaluation of care and services.
8) Evidence of competency in the use of information technologies including the use of computer software systems to produce professional correspondence, presentations, reports and data analyses.
9) Class C Drivers Licence and willingness to travel to support role and function.
