ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a full-time Clinical Governance Spirometry Lead to join our national Clinical Governance Team. The position is full-time, working approximately 38 hours a week, with some flexibility in hours required.

This role demands an array of proficiencies, particularly, dynamic leadership, an eye for detail and excellence in interpersonal and communication skills that support and reflect the Sonic HealthPlus culture.

Occasional interstate travel may be required

DUTIES


Reporting directly to the General Manager Clinical Governance, this position will be primarily focussed on all aspects of the spirometry service as delivered by Sonic HealthPlus while meeting best practice, international and national spirometry standards and/or state or industry specified regulatory requirements.

The Clinical Governance Spirometry Lead will also be responsible in part for/as:

  • Industrysupport person for doctor and clinic queries on spirometry including liaison on client queries.
  • Nominated responsible person for all external spirometry audit liaison and regulatory compliance requirements for registered/regulated spirometry practices.
  • Management of spirometry portfolio as a whole, including leadership of SpiroQuality team, ongoing assessment of company needs and development of clinically appropriate spirometry services.
  • Ensuring compliance of various spirometry practices with regulatory requirements to maintain their external registrations/accreditations
  • Senior auditor within SpiroQuality team.
  • Development and oversight of standardised best practice spirometry services in all SHP clinics. Includes implementation of internal quality assurance program to ensure compliance to national/ international spirometry standards.
  • Subjectmatter expert with clinical incident investigations, and management of reported spirometryrelated Riskman incidents when required
  • Maintenance of currency of various spirometry training, auditing, quality assurance and documentation databases
  • Provision of guidance to and mentorship of CG Occupational Health Support Officer as part of the SpiroQuality team.
