With 3 direct reports, you will co-ordinate engineering services for the Electrical Networks Substations Primary Engineering Discipline for management of change, risk management, technical tasks and engineering management systems in an innovative, cost effective and high quality manner.

This role is offered on a fulltime permanent basis at MTMs Melbourne head office, Docklands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the Change Management Process
  • Coordinate the integrity of the MTM Electrical Networks System Design, via system requirements and technical advice.
  • Ensure all primary design standards are in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Lead and support solution development, technology evaluation and development of specification development & technical standards related to substations primary systems
  • Manages the team effectively and efficiently to meet schedules, scopes of work and allocated budgets
  • Sets the objectives for the Engineering team within the constraints set by the Manager of Primary and Secondary Systems and Head of Engineering

  • Operates independently, in accordance with MTM's policies; quality, safety and environmental management systems; processes and relevant legislation
Skills and Experience

  • Proven and broad electrical industry experience and knowledge in Primary Design and Engineering
  • Engaged in continuous learning to maintain knowledge and skills of contemporary issues
  • Ability to lead the development of the primary engineering function
  • Review information covering a range of disciplines to develop and implement plans for effective delivery

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualifications and as a minimum obtained Registered Engineer Status
