About the role

TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge in Tourism, Travel Hospitality, and Events to join our team of Offsite Markers (internally known as Offsite Contract Teachers) on a casual basis.

The Offsite Marker is responsible for marking assignments and assessment tasks and providing constructive feedback for TAFE Digital's distance education students.

These roles are flexible, don't require you to attend a campus, and marking can be done anytime that works for you

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• Certificate IV or Diploma (or equivalent) in either Tourism, Travel, Hospitality, and/or Events.
• Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent.
• 3 years post qualification relevant industry experience.
• Commitment and ability to facilitate learning in an adult environment, with a high level of computing skills.
• Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.

Highly Desirable:

• Events
• Experience using Events Air or a similar program.
• Hospitality an RSA, RCG, Food Safety Certificate, and Food Handling certificate.

A suitability list may be created for this position, and position(s) of the same classification that subsequently becomes vacant may be filled using this suitability list.

Suitability lists are valid for 3 years.
