We are currently recruiting for a new Support Worker to join our team based in Coffs Harbour to provide domestic assistance (such as cleaning and meal prep), intimate personal care, social support, and implement health and wellbeing initiatives that support our clients. As a Support Worker, you will join our esteemed national team of community services professionals, dedicated to helping individuals maintain their independence and well-being.

This is a casual opportunity with flexible working hours available from Monday to Friday. Due to clients needs in the area we do require services to be covered as early as 7am and as late as 7pm.

As this is a casual role the base hourly rate is $ % casual loading, along with 11% Superannuation and eligibility for not-for-profit salary packaging (providing up to $15,900 in tax benefits). Additionally, you will receive a travel allowance of $0.96c per km and paid travel time between services. A daily mobile allowance is also provided when using your own device for work-related purposes.

Required Skills, Experience, and Credentials:

  • Understanding of and a passion for working with the elderly
  • Minimum Certificate III Individual Support (or equivalent) is essential
  • Medication assist module is highly desirable
  • Ability to work and travel around the Coffs Harbour area (with travel up to an hour as required)
  • Current driver's license
  • Registered, reliable, and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
  • Confidence in using different forms of technology such as a smartphone or tablet
