Adelphi Living Support Worker
Primary objectives:
- To support people in their daytoday living, ensuring they have opportunities to develop and maintain a valued lifestyle as described within their individual plan.
- To provide services to individuals which are developed specifically for their needs and within our "Person Centered" approach of delivery, reflected within the Adelphi Living vision and mission statement.
Primary duties:
To support people with a disability to meet their goals and actively encourage the person's participation in decision making about their own program in a courteous, professional and timely manner.
To ensure that people with a disability are in a safe environment and that they are free from any form of abuse or harassment.
To assist with:
- all areas of personal care including feeding, bathing, toileting and grooming.
- participant's mobility including transfers/hoisting etc
- participant medication or other medical needs adhering to Adelphi Living's policies and procedures and instructions from medical practitioners
- physical support and assistance to participate in activities and meal preparation with management expectations
- sleepover shifts available
- provide support external to the home such as transport for shopping, outing, appointments, doctors' visits and the like.
Desired Skills and Experience:

Current First Aid and CPR
Other Certification required
- NDIS worker orientation and induction modules certificates.
- Medication and manual handling
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- Current drivers' license
