We are seeking a Principal Consultant to be part of our National Data Platform practice based in our New South Wales office.

This is your opportunity to join and grow the next chapter here at NTT, working closely with your peers, local and national NTT team, connecting our partner ecosystem, and inspiring those around you to deliver great things.

You'll be part of our high-performing and diverse Data Platform team, build on our solid pipeline and expand on our delivery success.

The Data Platform practice is about assisting our customers to build modern cloud-based data platforms, using cutting-edge technologies; to meet their data and analytics workloads.

This will be a partially billable role with a focus on working with our sales organisation in pipeline building, leading pre-sales engagements to secure sales wins.

This role also gives you excellent opportunity to contribute towards building the practice capabilities and bring thought leadership to Data and Analytics domain.


Working at NTT

  • Assist with the growth of the Data Platform Practice by leading presales, commercial activities, pipeline management and expansion
  • Build and nurture, robust relationships with internal team members as well as client stakeholders at all levels
  • Function as a trusted advisor to customer CXOs in their data journey
  • Collaborate with other practices to develop and evolve a unique point of view related to the Data Platform practice aligned to the market and emerging trends
  • Develop and evolve Gotomarket plans and innovative service offerings in line with emerging trends
  • Where required, provide leadership in delivery phase for continuity on scope expectations set in presales phase and delivery outcomes desired by the customer
  • Build alliances and partnerships with relevant data analytics tooling vendors
  • Assist in administering the health and hygiene of the practice by supporting in:
  • Recruitment
  • Resourcing
  • Succession planning
  • Staff career management, training, and development plans
  • Contribute to the creation and harvesting of Intellectual Property and project deliverables

What will make you a good fit for the role?
Demonstrable experience in managing and growing a similar type of data practice

  • Experience in presales activities such as leading the creation of proposals, RFx responses, SOWs and sales presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to identify crossselling and upselling opportunities in existing accounts
  • Understand capabilities end to end across a data platform from ingestion to visualisation and advance analytics
  • Deep experience in working with cloudbased data platform technologies including Microsoft Azure, Databricks, DevOps and Snowflake
  • Strong solutioning focus with an understanding of how data can be applied to resolve business problems
  • A thorough understanding of the modern data and analytics ecosystem
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to broader audiences.
  • A focus on quality and addressing what's most important to the customer
  • Building good working relationships with customers and being calm under pressure.
  • Can articulate your position clearly, but you're an active listener.
  • Passionate about data analytics with the ability to maintain knowledge of trends and development in technology domains
  • Experience in leading, fostering career development, graduate support, and team engagement
Desirable

  • Relevant certifications (particularly in Azure, Databricks and Snowflake)
  • An understanding of modern data platform architecture designs including ELT, Lakehouse, Data Fabric & Data mesh
  • Consultancy experience
