The Parklife Metro Consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney.


This city shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership, will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney.


WeBuild as a D&C Contractor member, will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design and construction elements of the project, and we are currently looking to appoint an experienced Place Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

As the Place Manager you will act as contact point and connection for members of the community providing advice and support on available feedback channels to ensure customer and community needs are heard and met

You may responsible for:

  • Providing a proactive Community Engagement Relationship to satisfy the requirements of the SSTOM project
  • Production of project fact sheets, work notices, brochures, presentations, etc.
  • Understanding stakeholder and community issues and ensuring the project team is aware
  • Identifying key influencers and building relationships
  • Developing and implementing social media strategy
  • Consulting with local stakeholders and local communities as required and develop and maintain positive relationships.
  • Updating and maintaining the database and providing reports of the initiatives
  • The identification of potential stakeholder and community issues, and development of effective management strategies including managing and minimising disruption to pedestrians, cyclists, public transport users, road users, adjoining businesses, and residents.

Key Requirements for the role:

  • Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, media or public policy discipline or related fields
  • A minimum of five years' experience preferably working on similarscale infrastructure projects
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and lead a team.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and targets, prioritizing tasks under pressure.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills with a high attention to detail
