Overview
We are part of Azure Core - Host Storage team, responsible for providing Storage Virtualization platform to Azure VMs, handling trillions of IOs daily from Azure VMs across numerous datacenters and Clusters. Our focus encompasses the entire software stack on Azure Host, managing VM IOs, caches, Throttles, QoS for Azure VMs, transport layers, and data encryption. As our Storage solutions advance in capacity, performance, and intelligence, we strive for seamless experiences on Azure. Responsibilities
- You will lead a team of engineers responsible for designing and developing system drivers.
- You will create system software managing storage services in Azure.
- You will ensure services and components are well-defined, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored, and reusable.
- You will prioritize testability, portability, reliability, and maintainability, and determine the readiness of code for sharing and delivery.
- You will collaborate with an agile team of engineers, providing mentorship to junior team members.
- You will uphold high standards of quality and strive for continuous enhancement of system quality.
- You will collaborate across teams to establish team charter and vision.
- You will test, debug, and enhance existing storage features.
- You will implement cloud-scale solutions efficiently and monitor system health through telemetry.
