As a result of a period of sustained growth, we are seeking a talented and motivated Strategy Analyst to join our dynamic team and contribute to the future of Rugby League. As a Strategy Analyst at the NRL, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation. You will be responsible for analysing game data, market trends, evaluating business performance, and providing insights that inform strategic decisions. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and make a tangible impact on the growth and success of Rugby League.

In summary, you'll:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to track and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, summarising findings and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, analyse business performance, and support strategic planning processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and business plans.

The experience we're looking for:

  • Tertiary education qualifications in one of the following or closely related disciplines – business, finance, commerce, law
  • 1-2 years of experience in strategy / management consulting or corporate strategy roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Knowledge of the sports and/or media industry is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
