The role offers flexibility with hours from 6.30am to 9am for before school care and 2.30pm-6.30pm for after school care, accommodating your personal commitments. During school holidays, there is the chance to work full days in vacation care. You'll be part of our not-for-profit Child Care Services, recognized for meeting national quality education standards.

This position is ideal for those seeking a role that complements studying or offers a great work/life balance. Our services cover the Penrith LGA, operating in purpose-built facilities and school sites.

Your day will involve

As an OSHC Engagement Educator, you'll be responsible for planning and executing activities that promote the development of life skills while sparking excitement and curiosity. Here's a glimpse of what your day might include:

  • Interacting and supervising with young individuals
  • Facilitating Life Skills Development
  • Snack and Meal Times
  • Planning activities
  • Building relationships

What are we looking for

  • Experience supervising and interacting with children
  • Working with children check (WWCÇ)
  • Current First Aid Certificate with Asthma and Anaphylaxis and CPR (HLTAID004 / HLTA012)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to efficiently get things done

What we would like you to have - desirables

  • Completed or working towards a qualification in a relevant field (Childcare, Sport & Recreation, Youth Work, Social Sciences, Teaching, Community Services, Health)
  • Current LR Driver Licence (or willing to obtain)
  • Child Protection Certificate - Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk (or willing to obtain)
