Finance and accounting team (Total 9 + Shared Services, Direct 4) Main Purpose
As the principal finance executive, the purpose of the role is to provide leadership, direction and control across all aspects of the Company's finance operations with overall accountability for:

Directing the financial, accounting, administrative, reporting, business planning and budgeting activities of the Company's operations in Australia and New Zealand.

Ensuring financial compliance and internal controls per local Australian reporting requirements and standards.
Delivering high level, strategic commercial support to the business in partnership with senior management and as an active member of the ANZ Leadership Team
Providing leadership and direction of the Finance Function.

What you will be doing:


Lead, manage and oversee the end-to-end financial processes and operations, some of which are performed locally, and some performed via outsourced third party, including record to report, purchase to pay, order to cash.

Manage and business partner with the key stakeholders including local Leadership Team, Regional and Global Coty teams, Australian Tax Office, ASIC, and various tax consultants.

Provide strategic financial advice to the Leadership Team to address key business opportunities or challenges, leveraging the various drivers within the P&L.

Lead the annual planning and budgeting cycle, monthly and quarterly revisions in accordance with corporate requirements.

Oversee and ensure accurate and timely completion of tax compliance including but not limited to Australian Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Australian State Payroll tax including Annual Reconciliation submission, Australian Country by Country reporting, local Transfer Pricing documentation, Withholding tax, Corporate Tax and GST per ATO's requirements and compliance regulations.

Ensure timely and accurate submission of year end accounts in line with AASB with no qualifications from auditors.

Review and ensure all external compliance are adhered to timely in line with the Australian local requirements, including but not limited to Payment Times Reporting Scheme, Annual Modern Slavery Statement reporting, Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme, Australian Customs and Border Protection Service compliance.

Ensure that proper internal controls in line with SOX requirements are in place and that measurement and tracking is systematically executed in this regard.

Pricing management ensuring full compliance to the global guidelines and local regulations.

Undertake full Company Secretarial, Public Officer and Company Director functions in accordance with local legal requirements, including Australian Securities and Investments Commission submissions and record-keeping.

Lead, develop and manage the Finance team to deliver a high standard of team performance.

Who you are:

Tertiary qualifications at degree level in accounting and finance.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian Accounting Standards and local Tax reporting requirements and regulations.
CA / CPA qualifications.
10+ years experience as a finance professional at a senior level.
Cascades priorities, goals and targets aligned with the strategic vision.
Adapts leadership style to situations and people and finds the right balance between delegation and control.
Recognizes the contribution of others, differentiates fairly.

Possesses Strategic thinking and able to see beyond the short-term horizon and drive business planning in partnership with the leadership team.

Proven track record of executive maturity and confidence - able to set an example for positive interaction with executives and senior leaders, present confidently and maintain composure in stressful situations.

Possesses strong leadership skills - able to lead by example, inspire, motivate, engage and drive results through others ensuring alignment to organisational priorities, goals and targets.
