As the Head of Product Development and Sourcing, you will lead a team who receive the design brief from the design team and manages all technical and logístical aspects to bring the product to life and look for potential improvements to the brief by assessing latest technology, and liaising with factories on latest trends.

This role is responsible for ensuring their team implements, improves, and optimizes CRG'S product development and sourcing strategy across development, cost, quality, and lead time.

Please note, this is a 12 month contract

What does the role involve?

  • Lead the Product Development & Sourcing team for Politix
  • Bring the design to life working closely with designers, Planning & Product Technicians according to the agreed deadlines
  • Development, engagement & implementation of Responsible Sourcing Strategy
  • Develop and maintain longterm supplier relationships that will deliver competitive advantages including lowest total cost, highest quality products, and superior customer service.
  • Ensure the team are fostering relationships with factories in ensure seamless creation of prototypes
  • Ensure the team are providing consistent, well designed and thorough tech packs based on branded sketches.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience working with suppliers and factories in global offshore locations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Indepth understanding of Product Development, and remediation practices, tools, and standards.
  • Excellent understanding of the design, development and merchandising process from inception through to production
  • Knowledge of apparel construction material construction and properties, pattern making, costing etc
  • Understanding of manufacturing process
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work within a team, cross functional and external
  • Strong leadership capability
