We are currently seeking a passionate
Head of House for a prestigious independent girls' boarding school in the beautiful Eastern Suburbs.


  • As Head of House you play an important role in creating a positive, caring and open culture that encourages full participation in all activities within the boarding community.
  • As Head of House you are expected to model appropriate behaviours, values and attitudes at all times.
  • This role requires regular contact with students, parents and other boarding staff.
  • Hours include mornings, evenings, overnight and partial weekends during term time.

Head of House for a prestigious independent girls' boarding school in the beautiful Eastern Suburbs.

The Role

  • Full Time live in position (Term time only)
  • Take a leadership role encouraging girls to manage their responsibilities, develop life skills and promote
individual self esteem

  • Foster harmonious community living in a homely environment
  • Ensure that the Head of Student Residential Life is updated on all boarding matters regarding boarders, staff, routines, maintenance etc. and be available for regular staff meetings

The School
The role is within the senior boarding house for years boarders.

The school is one of the first girls' schools in New South Wales and as such enjoys an outstanding reputation combined with a proud tradition of women's achievements.


  • Have strong interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Have a warm, approachable manner, able to understand the skills needed of young women living away from home
  • Demonstrated understanding of girls and young women and ability to manage and communicate with, young adults and their parents
  • Have an understanding of risk management, WHS and duty of care
  • Have Leadership and Operational experience in boarding
  • Have current Working with Children Check Card
  • Have current First Aid Qualification
  • Have Driver's license
