About the role


The Student and Academic Services Officer is responsible for providing high quality administrative and support services within the college/campus across a broad range of academic and student services and administrative functions.


Key result areas are:

  • Ability to meet deadlines during busy times
  • Effective and efficient record management
  • Focus on engaging with students and committed to providing a positive student experience

The person we seek will ideally have the following

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deal with competing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail, including proofreading and editing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to relate well to students and professionals
  • Ability to independently resolve routing problems and issues
  • Sense of responsibility and commitment to education
  • IT literacy (ie. Student information system or database, or customer relationship management system) and experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Provide advice to students relating to College policies and procedures, program progression, transition to University and other student administrative related issues
  • Flexibility to work across campuses (Joondalup and Mount Lawley)

Desirable:

  • Work experience in higher education sector, preferably in a commercial setting (preferred)
  • Degree or equivalent
