As we expand our services, we are seeking adynamic and compassionate Team Leader to join our dedicatedteam.

We're offering an exciting opportunity to join us as aDisability Support Worker in our Accommodation Services. In thisrole, you'll play a crucial part in providing support to ourclients with high needs in the disability community, aiding themwith personal care and daily tasks.

The Role:

As a Disability Support Worker, you'll be instrumental inassisting clients with high support needs, which may includeindividuals who use wheelchairs and other aids. You'll also provideadditional support for their medical and care needs, requiringexperience or training in using mobility aids and a thoroughunderstanding of Manual Handling. Residents receive support fromour experienced and qualified staff throughout the day, includingmornings, afternoons, overnight, and weekends. Our focus is onempowering each individual to live as autonomously as possiblewithin both shared living and one-on-one environments.

About You:

In this role, we're seeking individuals who excel incommunication, building positive relationships with clients to meettheir diverse needs effectively. Resilience and self-confidence arekey attributes, as you'll be engaging with clients from variousbackgrounds and circumstances. Prioritising and problem-solvingskills are essential for navigating the demands of the role.Flexibility is a must, with the willingness to work shifts,sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays. Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice, especially Word and Outlook, is required. Additionally,possessing a valid Australian Driver's License and obtainingnecessary clearances, such as a Blue Card and NSW NDIS WorkersScreening Check, are vital. Candidates should be prepared toundergo a National Criminal History Check and disclose theirCovid-19 vaccination status, including boosters.

Desirable Criteria

Experience with high needs Disability clientsCertificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent.Demonstrated understanding in the National Disability InsuranceAgency (NDIA) processes.Mental Health First Aid
