As an Inclusive Learning Teacher, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Design, deliver, and assess high-quality teaching and learning programs that align with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, relevant syllabi, curriculum policies, work programs, and educational trends.
  • Maintain your teaching competency and stay updated with relevant curriculum programs as required by the department and other statutory authorities.
  • Support students by creating inclusive learning environments, fostering positive interactions, and implementing effective behavior management strategies.
  • Safeguard students' physical, social, cultural, and emotional wellbeing, ensuring their safety and development as responsible citizens, through active participation in timetabled, nontimetabled, and planned extracurricular activities.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment (diagnostic, formative, and summative) to inform student development, provide feedback, and generate reports for students, parents, the department, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate student records and samples of work, reporting on student performance and progress.
  • Collaborate in the development and evaluation of curriculum, continuously monitoring the effectiveness of the teaching and learning program through observation and evaluation.

Applicants must possess:

  • Relevant teaching qualification
  • Current full or provisional registration as a teacher in Queensland. For info CLICK HERE
  • Teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services
  • A brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant previous work history)
  • 2pg response to the How you will be Assessed section of the attached role description.
  • Preservice teachers are encouraged to include completed practicum reports, mentor/referee statements, unofficial academic transcript for current course of study.
